Sunflower Sprouts Academy
Early Learners Program Ages 3 -5
Our Early Learners Program (Ages 3–5) provides a joyful and nurturing introduction to school where curiosity is encouraged, and a love of learning begins.
Through a balance of play-based exploration and guided instruction, children are encouraged to ask questions, investigate the world around them, and develop confidence as learners. Our teachers intentionally engage students in meaningful conversations and hands-on experiences that build language, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills.
A Strong Foundation for Lifelong Learning
In our Early Learners classrooms, students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Children learn to collaborate, communicate, and become independent thinkers in a supportive and structured environment.
Literacy & Language Development
Students are introduced to a multi-sensory approach to reading, focusing on phonics, comprehension, and language development. By Early Learner 5, students are reading with greater confidence, expressing their ideas in writing, and engaging more deeply with texts.
Early Math Foundations
Students explore foundational math concepts through hands-on learning and problem-solving. In Early Learner 5, students develop strong number sense and critical thinking skills, preparing them for success with Singapore Math in the elementary grades.
Learning Through Play & Discovery
We believe young children learn best through active exploration, creativity, and play. Daily experiences include:
-
Structured and unstructured play
-
Hands-on projects and inquiry-based learning
-
Opportunities for movement, art, and music
-
Social skill development through collaboration
Faith & Values in Early Learner 5
St. Frances of Rome School welcomes families of all backgrounds and faith traditions. In Early Learner 5, students are gently introduced to faith-based values through prayer, stories, and lessons that emphasize kindness, respect, gratitude, and care for others, helping every child grow in character and confidence.
The Early Learner 5 Advantage
Our Early Learner 5-year-old program goes beyond a traditional kindergarten experience by combining strong academics with intentional social-emotional growth and a values-based foundation. Students leave this program as confident, independent learners who are prepared to excel in elementary school.
Preparing for Elementary School and Beyond
By the end of Early Learner 5, students have developed the academic skills, independence, and confidence needed to thrive in elementary school and continue growing as lifelong learners.
