Scholarly Pursuits
Our academic program has established a curriculum inspired by the Trivium, as outlined by Dorothy Sayers, a strong advocate for classical education. The term "Trivium," which means "the place where three roads meet" in Latin, serves as the foundation for our approach. We have effectively integrated the three learning stages of the Trivium—Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric—into a framework that resonates with today's students, identifying them as Content, Process, and Communication.
Content
Content is gaining valuable information that includes facts about science and history, along with skill development in reading, writing, and math.
Process
Process is learning to make analytical connections between seemingly unrelated facts. It encourages reasoning as a path to discover the truth and teaches students to analyze and organize information so that it is clear and coherent.
Communication
Communication is expressing oneself through a well-written essay, presentation, debate, or work of art. It is easily recognized by parents as desirable and beneficial for their children.
Early Childhood to Middle School
Programs start as early as 3 - 4 years old through 8th grade.

Early Childhood
Our Early Childhood Program starts in preschool with 3 - 4 year old students, promoting their curiosity through investigation and project work. Children are encouraged to ask questions, and our teachers engage them with their own questions, fostering reflection and language articulation.

Reading & Comprehension
The formal reading program, initiated in our Early Learner 5 classroom, a multi-sensory approach focuses on phonics and comprehension rather than memorization. As children advance, they enhance skills like comparing, drawing conclusions, predicting outcomes, and distinguishing fact from opinion.

Singapore Math
St. Frances of Rome utilizes Singapore Math Curriculum beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through 8th. This particular curriculum is distinguished with an emphasis on word problems and applications of mathematical topics.
Our teachers tailor this program to meet the needs of every student.

Academic Enrichment
In addition to academic pursuits, our students utilize technology as a supportive tool all while participating in a
well-rounded curriculum. Our students participate weekly in sessions that include physical education, art and music. All fostering a diverse skill set and holistic development.
